Playing Descent

Descent starts out very clean, with an unexplored dungeon and us not knowing the dangers awaiting us inside....

Lots of little bits and skill cards, which is just like Runebound, and to a lesser degree like the World of Warcraft boardgame.



Here we are in the middle of a fight - ambushed front and rear by bad guys! There you can see Ah Ping hiding at the back...

Opening Descent pt 1

There's this really huge box game which Zim-kor-kor bought over the holidays, called Descent: Journeys in the Dark. Like Arkham Horror, it is also by Fantasy Flight Games. It's supposed to be a dungeon crawler, where one player is the GM controlling all the monsters. and the others are adventurers playing against him. It's so huge!!! The box is really heavy too.

The game has lots of little miniatures in it, like this not-so-little dragon and demon. We would have opened more, but Zim-kor-kor got frightened of all the parts and said he'll open the rest next time...

But the parts are really nice, I can't wait!
